This classic early GT sold on Ebay UK for 9,000 GBP in November 2022. In quite a state, it was supposedly last on the road in 1978 and has been stored by the same owner in different locations ever since, having just over 75,000 miles on the clock.. A real Barn find. It retains its original Bronze Yellow paint with Black interior. Twin tanks (not original but replicating  the Cooper S), and the original Rostyle wheels (the same as those that applied to the Australian Clubman GT).

The car was described at the time of sale as being completely original, but missing several parts such as exhaust, bumpers, battery etc. The seller noted that they were the second owner of the car and have had it since 1974. The offside front wing was replaced at some stage, together with the front body part with the model number on it (unfortunate(. The original model plate is with the car.

It's a big project, but a worthwhile one (not many of the early GTs around). The 1275 GT was a very successful model - replaced the Cooper, but it actually outsold the Cooper by many units.
