1999 Ford Falcon AU XR8 Sedan

10 years ago I wouldn't have thought the AU XR8 (series I) would be a classic.. But there is a sense of V8 simplicity to this car, reflective of earlier V8 Aussie sedans. Other than a nose cone, spoiler and some red striping, there's no substantial body kit to the Series 1, so it has quite a clean profile, which over the years has become increasingly attractive to me.. That combined with the orange rear indicators make the Series 1 quite distinct - it changed substantially with body kits/styling in series II (and also with respect to power).

This one, I think is a bargain. A V8 Option 20 pursuit ex-police sedan, with just 53,000km on the clock, asking $10,000! This one we spotted on Facebook marketplace in May 2022, located in Sydney Australia.. 

I do love a simple AU.
