Good to see such an original car - again spotted in NZ where quite a few were imported. The precurser to the Evo, and a very competent rally car, the Galant VR-4 is a real future classic straight out of Group A, and is one of the lesser known alternatives to the big names. Spotted this one in early 2019. In excellent original condition, with only 145,000 on the clock at the time. No mods other than head unit and Nardi steering wheel. Still has factory exhaust and intake! First one I have ever seen. Looks original on the outside, but this Galant VR-4 has had a lot of mechanical work.. The car was imported to NZ about 10,000km ago. Great to stumble acrpss this very well preserved original example of the VR-4 - the Evo 1 essentially.. This nice example was asking $20,000 (NZD) - a New Zealand based car (many of these seemed to have sold there. The seller had very few comments at the time the car was offered.
