1981 Volvo 260 Series 262C Bertone Coupe

An exceptionally rare car these days, this 262 Bertone coupe was advertised on Facebook marketplace in September 2022 asking $19,000. Bertone made significant changes to the 240 series body, lowering the roofline and increasing the rake of the roof. The cars looked a lot more aero, but also a lot more American.. It was clear that Bertone did this for the US market, and there wouldn't have been too many sold in Australia (I would guess only 100 or so out of the 6,622 built.

In the advertisement, the seller noted it is "in excellent driving condition. Recent major service with many consumables and maintenance parts replaced. Very reliable with extremely straight body and no rust. Electrics all work perfectly although air con compressor needs replacing."
