For sale: 1964 Studebaker Daytona convertible

Of the 702 built, very few 1964 Daytona convertibles are still around. It's estimated that there are just 7 in Australia, all of which are personal imports from the USA.

This convertible was restored around 2018 by Studebaker enthusiast Jim Moore in the USA, and is fitted with a 289 R1 engine (but running standard 289 compression), with column shift auto. The car was imported in late 2019, and had just 20 miles on the new engine. Its since done less than 1,000 miles of driving over the last few years. All import papers and details are held and go with the sale. The car was originally a factor 289 (non R1). The car has been restored to its original Bordeaux Red with white top and black trim, and according to the Studebaker Drivers' Club Registry, factory options included white wall tyres, manual radio, undercoating, power steering, wheel discs and seat belts front and rear.

The car presents to a high standard, runs well and is ready to use. Everything opens and shuts well, including the power top. The engine sounds brilliant, and delivers plenty of power, and the power steering makes driving this car effortless.

The car is currently unregistered but can be test driven on the property where it's located.  Please contact Tim (0466420377) or classicregister@gmail.com) to arrange a viewing. Viewing will mostly only be possible on weekends with advanced notice.
